Today, House Majority Leader Tom McGillvray made the following statement about the vote on House Bill 198, an eminent domain bill.

“We are extremely disappointed that House Democrats chose to turn a jobs issue into a partisan political football. In his State of the State, the Governor agreed with Republicans that developers need regulatory certainty, where a yes means yes and a no means no. This afternoon, House Democrats unanimously voted no on jobs for Montana. Republicans will continue to pursue legislation that creates the regulatory certainty necessary to provides more opportunities and jobs for Montanans.”
